Tawa Lodge was designed by Rowena to capture the view and make the most of the sun. It sits well in its bush setting looking very much like a treehouse. Tawa Lodge is an eco house built mostly from the native timber from the property. Solar panels and a wetback system are used to heat the hot water and the home. Most of the cooking is done on the woodstove.
